The Zeta Gamma House Corporation and architectural committee have developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Kappa Delta experience at the University of Arkansas. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that a major housing project is necessary, and they must invest in the home to meet the needs of today’s students. Working with WER Architects/Planners, the Zeta Gamma House Corporation has developed a tactical approach to their future.

Highlights:

  • More than double the square footage of the house (currently 17,000 sq. ft.)

  • Increase the number of women who can live in the house from 71 to over 90

  • New chapter room to seat a minimum of 350 women

  • Increase dining space for the growing membership

  • Update and expand the kitchen and snack kitchen, including all new appliances and equipment

  • Grand multi-level foyer

  • Additional common space and study space throughout the house

  • Addition of a guest suite

  • Significant increase in the number of bathrooms and spa-like bathroom space for guests and the live-in members on all floors

  • Increased chapter storage and staff storage throughout the facility

  • Dance studio and workout room

  • Provide updates to the house director’s suite

  • ADA compliant

  • New bedroom furniture and amenities to provide cohesive look and increased bedroom storage

  • The historic nature of the house will be kept with the front façade

  • Open floor plan on the first floor to better accommodate the needs of the chapter for events and recruitment
