The Tau alumna and collegiate leadership has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Delta Gamma experience on the University of Iowa campus. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that major updates to the Chapter house are necessary, and Tau Chapter must invest in our home to meet the needs of today’s students. Through chapter fundraising efforts, the plans include:

  • Remodeled mail room

  • New cabinets in kitchen

  • Replace some kitchen appliances

  • New carpet and countertop in study space

  • Replace tile in guest bedroom shower

  • New flooring throughout the house

  • Designated chapter room study space

  • Remove and replace front door

  • New ceiling and furnishings in living room

  • New living room study area

  • Add electric outlets

  • Update housemother’s bathroom

  • Demolish and replace bedroom wardrobes and furnishings

  • Replace sleeping room locks

  • Resurface parking lot

  • Update bathrooms

  • New windows

  • Update heating and air conditioning

  • Repaint interior

  • New doors throughout

  • Replace light fixtures in hallways

  • Install new treads and banisters on stairways
